In “The Bride of Frankenstein” (1935), Dr. Frankenstein, portrayed by Colin Clive, recuperates from injuries incurred during an assault by a mob targeting both him and his creation. He becomes influenced by his former mentor, Dr. Pretorius, played by Ernest Thesiger, who encourages the now-reformed doctor to persist in his experiments aimed at the creation of new life. Concurrently, the Monster, portrayed by Boris Karloff, finds himself fleeing from those who seek to eliminate him, remaining unaware that his intentions are fundamentally benevolent, despite his deficiencies in social skills and self-regulation.
